I would like any information on the Dalziel family who were born in the Shetland Islands (north of Scotland). My gt/gt-grandfather James Balfour married Mary Dalziel (I think born 1812) in the Shetlands in 1845. The name was then carried down through my gt/grandfather Geroge Dalziel Balfour, my grandfather also George Dalziel Balfour and my father Stanley Dalziel Balfour and then to my brother Richard Charles Dalziel Balfour.
Are you related to Mary Dalziel who was I think born 1812?
would be interested to hear from you, especially as I see you also live in NZ.
