I am researching the ancestors of Samuel Edward Dazell, born 1888 Drayton, Pembina, North Dakota. The descendants seemed to have used the name Dazell instead of Dalzell.
It appears his parents were Samuel Dazell and Ann Jane Taylor. I'm confused about where Samuel was born. I have his birth year as 1831. The Quebec baptisms, deaths, marriages are online, being able to look at the actual copy out of the books.
William & Elizabeth Johnston are shown as having a child, Charles, baptsized, who was born 6 May 1831. William being from Lake Beauport, Waterloo Settlement, Quebec, Canada. This is the same year that my records indicate Samuel should have been born in Ireland???
Do you think his name is Charles Samuel Dazell, born in Quebec, 1831 ?
Ann Dazell died July 26, 1831 of Lake Beauport, Waterloo Settlement, Quebec, Canada - at 2 yrs of age, daughter of William and Elizabeth Johnston. This puts the family in Quebec in 1831.
The family I am researching....
William Dazell and Mary Devlin had 12 children.

Samuel Edward Dazell died in 1917. Shot during an argument after a buggy accident. (road rage even back then!)
Samuel had two sons, who went by the last name Dazell.
