I am also searching for a William Dalzell (wife Elizabeth) believed to have been from Co. Down and possibly from the Drumgooland area. They had a son, Samuel, believed to have been born (abt. 1825) in Ireland shortly before they emigrated to Eastern Canada, living in Quebec (Lac Beauport) and eventially in Proton twp., of Grey County, Ontario. Samuel married Mary Jane Ann Taylor in LacBeauport, Que. in abt. 1845. Samuel's youngest daughter was my maternal grandmother. does any of this sound like the smae family?
