A Dalzell Puzzle

I received this email from a man who is trying to identify these two Dalzell men who are buried in this old cemetery they are restoring. I am a Dalzell researcher and he was hoping I might be able to help or at least be able to get the word out to other Dalzell folks. If you can provide any information about either one of these Dalzells please contact me. Thanks - See email below

"The Oxford Museum is restoring an old cemetery behind an old church (building now gone). The church was called the Campbellite or New Light Church – a protestant group that apparently evolved into the Church of Christ. The cemetery is located in Butler Co., OH about 2 miles NW of Oxford near the OH-IN state line. We are in SW Ohio about 35-40 miles NW of Cincinnati. We have two Dalzells in the old cemetery:

James Dalzell – died 24Jul1855 age 56y/5m/26d. The inscription says in part: “Sleep on my father, now sleep on….”

Next to him is the grave of William J. Dalzell – died 18Apr1854, age 21y/4m/6d. The verse on the stone says in part: “dearest bother, thou hast left us….”

One of the researchers said that these might be related to some Dalzells in Franklin Co., IN (Brookville). I searched their library and could not identify our two Dalzells in the records. For your information: There are some Dalzells buried in the Harmony cemetery near Brookville, IN.

The restoration involves removing a lot of trees (completed) and repairing and resetting/leveling about 20-30 stones (75% completed). We plan to publish a brochure summarizing the history of the site and some information about the people buried there and this fall re-dedicate the
cemetery."
