Am interested in IDing an Andrew DALZELL of the Pittsburgh PA area who was an administrator for the estate of my Norval HOLMES who died in 1875. The other administrators listed were George Q HOLMES (Norval's son), a Matilda McILVAIN, and a W J McILVAIN.

I did find a reference to an Andrew DALZELL who in 1890 was an engineer living on River Avenue in Allegheny City PA (now known as the North Side of Pittsburgh). He could have just been a family friend as the HOLMES family lived in Allegheny City for many years.
