Around 1747-1750 or thereabouts, Margaret Daly gave birth to Dominic French. The father was Arthur French of Frenchpark Co Roscommon, by whom she had a number of children. There may have been a Roman Catholic marriage, then considered illegal. I am hoping to find information on Margaret Daly, her son Dominic, his brothers and sisters and their descendants. My ancestor was a Dominic French, who became an officer with the East India company, settled in England. P.A.Lee-French
