Penny --

In 1766-1769 Lewis Potter lived on the Pigg River in Pittsylvania County, Va.

James Dalton was also on the Pigg from at least 1766 thru 1774 as there are numerous documents placing him there. His presumed father Timothy was there 1n 1759-1765. Tim died in 1775.

Lewis is a good bet for the father of some of the Franklinb County Potters . The same James Dalton as above also lived in Franklin later.

Isaac Potter witnessed a will of Charles Oakes in Pitt. in 1795
