I would be interested in knowing more about the Dalrymples. My husband's line is through his mother. Her father was Evan James, son of Charles M.(b May 8 1859), son of James A.(b?). James married Ruhama Bowen Moore on Dec. 16, 1852 at Bridgeton NJ. When I first asked his mother about the family she said she thought they were German.
Evidently there were a lot of Dalrymples in the NJ area.
