Jason, I've been told that our Stair family line was descended from the Earl of Stair, hence the surname Stair. My gggrandfather was Noble Stair and lived in Kentucky. My ggrandmother was married in Kentucky, moved to Illinois, had numerous children who later all moved to Michigan. They resided mainly in the Saginaw area.
