I have worked long and hard to track down my Dalrymple connections. There are still a few 'brick walls'. I have 'lost' a Henry Dalrymple b. 21 May 1857 in Clackmannanshire. The last information was 18 March 1874 at Paisley and he does not appear on 1881 census. Another brother who was in Paisley at that time has been located in England and the family found from then on. An older brother was also found in England but does NOT show up in the 1881 census anywhere. He shows up on later censuses with a family so I know he did not die in between. My hunch is that Henry is somewhere. He does not show up on the death records in Scotland - perhaps emigrated???
