Hi Pat,
Seeking to find out names of the 4 Dalryumple's children of Lt. Philemon Stacy's 2nd wife. Were any of them still living at home when Lt. Philemon Stacy married her in VT, and did he adopt any of them?

Lt. Philemon STACY [1741-1784] who served in the Revolutionary War, was son of Samuel and Margaret Baker Stacy.

This Philemon was married two times; his wives were Mary Richardson [who is my direct line] and Mrs. Mary Polly/Molly Fairbanks Dalyrumple and there were 4 children. Philemon married Mrs. Molly, etc. Dalrymple, widow, ca 1778-9 per Vera Crosier.

Also, from page 43 of "Vermont Gazette: Vermont Newspaper Abstracts 1783-1816" by Marsha Hoffman Rising, NEHGS, Boston, 2001 "Nathan Fish, commioner, will ell real estate of Philemon Stacy, deceased late of Halifax, at the house of William Dalrymple of Halifax, Windham County, Vermont."

THANKS so much,
Jan Jordan <jnrose@webtv.net>
