Weekly Tribune Maryville, Missouri 14 February 1929 Ezra Dalrymple, Civil war veteran who had passed his eighty first birthday on January 13, and was native of Nodaway county, died about 1 o'clock this morning at St. Francis hospital where he was taken some time ago. He had resided in Pickering for the past seven years since retiring from the farm near there. The funeral will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at M.E. church at Pickering. The Rev. Charles E. Reed will officiate. Burial will be at White Oak cemetery. In 1926 Mr. and Mrs. Dalrymple had celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. It was on Aug 22, 1866, that Mr. Dalrymple an 18 year old soldier discharged from the Union Army, and Martha Blevins, his sixteen year old sweetheart, were united in marriage in the eastern part of what is now Nodaway co township [probably should say Polk twp.] in this county. Mr. Dalrymple was a native of Nodaway county, while his wife is an Indianan by birth. Besides Mrs. Dalrymple, ten children; six sons and 4 daughters survive. They are: David T. of near Pickering, Mrs. Lydia M. Wilder living in Washington, Chauncy H. Living in Kansas, Willis A. of Pickering, Mrs. Daisy Harrison of McFall, Mrs. Grace Wagoner of Brighton, Colo., William A. of Maryville, James B. of Maryville, Ira M. of Grant City, Mrs. Mary May of Enhield, Cal. He is survived by thirty nine grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
