DALLAS of Virginia; DNA testing to determine links
Posted by: Jön-Eric Thomas (ID *****7379) Date: April 23, 2006 at 12:17:53

Hello there Dallas researchers whose lines go back into Virginia. Has anyone thought about starting a DNA testing project to determine if most of us are related??

I know that many of us go back into Bedford County, VA, but can't prove our exact relationships. This is the latest thing to do, but not cheap per test.

I'm not interested in heading this up, but just curious as to if folks are interested. My line goes back to Robert Dallas and Nancy Turner of Bedford and Pittsylvania Counties, VA. We assume that we are related to others there also... Marmaduke, John, etc.

This testing can only be done with direct male descendents of a line.

Thanks,

Jön-Eric Thomas
Lexington, NC
