I recently found my Italian grandparents marriage certificate. My grandmothers maiden name was D'alessandro and she was from the Province Chieti and comune di Tollo. They were married in Italy in 1895. I believe her first name on the certificate was Blaninda or Blannda.(difficult to read old-style pennmanship) ..Once in the states it became Clorinda. She and her husband and children emigrated to the States and settled in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania. My grandfather worked for the railroad and died fairly young. My grandmother lived to be 93.
