I would be interested in having a copy of this article. I will be glad to pay expenses.
Lots of us will hate to lose this connection.

Today, December 11, 2001, I received my copy of the Colonial Dames of the Seventeen Century Review, 2001, Volume 43, No. 3. On page 17, I found the following:
LADY DIANA SKIPWITH (Virginia)
Long claimed as the mother of the Catherine Dale who married Thomas Carter of Lancaster County a re-examination of Lancaster County records show Diana Skipwith still unmarried to Edward Dale as late as 1655. As Catherine Dale's estimated year of birth is established as circa 1652 Diana Skipwith could not be her mother. Please see Charles Martin Ward, "A Refutation of the Alleged Royal Ancestry of Katherine (Dale) Carter, wife of Thomas Carter of Lancaster County, Virginia," The American Genealogist 75 (I) January 2000. 27-29.
