4th Cpl. Reuban Dale, Harrison Co. MO
4th Cpl. Reuban Dale served in the Civil War in the 23rd Regiment of the Missouri Volunteers Infantry, Company D, from Harrison County Missouri.Reuban Dale was killed at Atlanta in 1864 and GAR Post 223 was named for him.
I have been unable to determine who Reuban Dale's parents were, or who he married.I know that he had at least one child, George Washington Dale who moved from Bethany, Missouri to Alfalfa County Oklahoma around 1901.The family story is that George was raised by his grandfather. If you know which of the many Dales in Harrison County were his line, I would appreciate your help.I have read the U.S. census reports without success.
