Sharon, Thankyou for your reply. I did have the information that you have, however, I did not know that Frederick married Cora Martin before marrying Elsie Spoor. Nelson and Sarah had three other children, Hattie, Estella, and Edward.
I still remain puzzled that there is no documentation, either in Eaton County, or Calhoun County (birth, marriage, or death records) for my Cora Dacon(s) married to William Young(s). I do have the newspaper announcement for Cora and Williams marriage, 10 August 1884. And I still have a feeling that Cora is somehow related to Nelson and Sarah Dacons, primarily because of the guardianship papers showing Sarah as the children's (Blanche and Vernie Youngs) grandmother. My gr-grandmother, Blanche, who was raised by Sarah Youngs Dacons, names her as her mother on her Marriage Record, even though Cora Dacons was her biological mother.
Another sidelight is that apparently, Cora and William were living at the same address at the time of their deaths as Peter V. Dacons (63 Coldwater St. in Battle Creek, MI). Peter's mother, Catherine Young is sister to Sarah Young. So there seems to be a familial tie there as well.
All this to say that I may never find any documented evidence that would place Cora in the Nelson and Sarah Dacons family. Someone out there somewhere may have the evidence I need. I will continue to wait patiently.
