Augustus Van Dake & Luke Van Dake of NY...

Hoping someone of the Dake/VanDake families may be able to assist me in understanding a family relationship.

At Penfield, NY (Monroe County)...known earlier as "Northfield and Boyle" and was of Ontario County before new town formations and county boundary lines began changing..from which Monroe County was formed out of in 1821.

At the Surrogate Office at Monroe County NY the following was found: Guardianship Records on file:
Adams L. Van Dake of Penfield appt., 28 December 1827 children of Luke Van Dake (no mention of mother or her name). Lucy Van Dake was 20 years on 15 July last [Note: aka Laura], Luke Baker Van Dake was 14 on 11 Jan lat, Hiram Van Dake age 16 years on 10 Feb last and Benjamin Franklin Van Dake age 18 on 12 April last. David Safford Fassett swears he knows the children. David Baker and Jonathan Baker were witnesses.

I believe that Luke Van Dake, these children's father may have married a "Baker" and have been the brother to Dr. Augustus Baker of Penfield NY (Augustus Van Dake died at Penfield in 1810 and is buried at Penfield).

Adams L. VanDake, the Guardian was born 1807 and died at Penfield, NY 1848 and he is buried at Oakwood Cemetery..he married Laura Baker d/o David Baker of Penfield, NY.

Jonathan J. Baker (witness to the Guardinship of Luke Van Dake children in 1827), was an Uncle to Laura Baker VanDake, wife of Adams L. VanDake. Jonathan J. Baker died in 1857 & he left a Last Will...Executors of this Will, while he left a widow Elizabeth, were; Luke B. [Baker]VanDake and Henry VanDake of Rochester, NY. I suspect this is Luke Baker VanDake (he died in 1865) and Henry, may be Hiram sons of Luke Van Dake.

So there must be more of a "Baker" family connection.

Question: If Luke VanDake was a brother to Dr Augustus Van Dake (who was the known son of Edward and Mary Dake per a family bible entry, noted in book "Northfield on the Genesee")...who did Luke VanDake marry? This is what I seek his wife's name.

By the way Lucy/Laura Baker married Silas Parsons and was of Monroe County and Erie County, NY. Luke Baker Vandake married Elsey Gifford, he died in 1865 and is buried at Mt Hope Cemetery in Rochester, NY. Benjamin Franklin Baker married Harriet Clark (she born in Genesee County,NY) d/o Asa and Mary Clark, they were of Murray, Orleans Co, NY..Benjamin died in 1860 at Murray, NY. Hiram/Henry VanDake..haven't tracked. Lucy VanDake Parson died after 1880 at Erie County, NY.

Any help out there relative to my questions?
