Maurice,
First let me commend you on your excellent website and thank you for the posts. I have the following information.
Arnold B. Dake m Margaret Dake 12-31-1825
Arnold B. Dake m Margaret (Flint) Seebolt 03-20-1832
I have yet to unravel the mystery of the two marriages. I don't know if the first is misinformation or if there were actually 3 wives. I have seen posted on worldconnect that there were 3 children of the Flint/Seebolt marriage. The following I believe to be the children of Arnold and Elizabeth.
1. Arnold B. Dake m Hectorenia K. Grant 03-27-1834. This I believe to be Arnold, Jr. She married again 07-20-1842 to Juan Honfleur.
2. Margaret Dake m Robert Hopper 09-21-1837. This is my line thru their daughter Lucy who married Henry W. Ebbs. Robert and Margaret had 7 children. They moved to Williamson County, IL. Margaret was born in 1820 and Robert was born 1810 in NY.
3. Lucy Ann Dake m Tarlton Dunn 11-05-1837. He married Louisia(Lucy) Ann Robinett 05-29-1845. Also, in the Equality cemetery listings there are 2 children of Tarlton and Eliza Dunn. I'm not sure yet if it's the same person in all instances or father/son etc.
The information I have comes from IRAD and from Gallatin County records and census. I believe Arnold, Jr and Margaret to be children of Elizabeth although Lucy could be the child of Margaret if the 1825 marriage is correct.
Equality is a village in Gallatin County, IL. It's in the far southeastern part of the state. My sister and I were there about 2 to 3 months ago which is when I took the pictures. I reposted the picture of Arnold listing his wife as Elizabeth and added the picture of Margaret's tombstone although it doesn't show any information.
Again, thank you for the information. I have more information on my line if you would like it. Also, if you would care to post the pictures or information on your website please feel free to do so.
