Sorry about taking so long to answer. Just had some eye surgery last week, so I have been off line for awhile. Way back in 1963 while living in Ypsilanti, Mich. I met a Mr. Edward Deake and corresponded with him for a short time. Last letter rcvd was in 1969, but at that time I felt we were not related so stopped writting. Now I find that we are cousins and I can not find him again. Perhaps he has passed away. He told me his family had moved into Oakland County, Mich. about 1840. They had come from Otto, New York and before that Penfield, New York. My g-grandfather Luke Dake was a member of the same family, and his son my grandfather moved to Pleasantville, Penn. after which my father came to Minnesota, in about 1890.
