Dake, Garner Newty Alabama.

I am looking for info on the Dake family in Alabama. My husband's grand sire was born in that state. I know his mother's family name was Garner and grand pa's full name was Garner Newty Dake.
From what I understand there was some marriages to Cherokee women in this Dake branch.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
