Hi, we are the Dakes from California. We are "Loran" Dake and I am his wife Linda Dake. We are just beginning the process of researching our Dake family tree. Here is what we know so far....
Loran Dake b 10-19-49 son of Larry Dake and
Loann Beamer. Larry Dake is the son of Irving Dake b 14 Oct 1900 and Edna (don't know her maiden name yet) b 1 Nov 1903. Irving Dake is the son of Lawrence Dake b New York City 3/24/1858 and Clara Chittenden Dake.
We don't have much information yet......, but would appreciate any and all help. We wonder how many "Loran - Loren" Dakes there are out there.
I do have a photocopy of an article that was in a Santa Cruz California newspaper about the above mentioned Dakes. It is titled the "Dake House, 410 High Street, Santa Cruz, California" with a picture of the house. If anyone out there is interested I can scan it and email it to you.
Hope I haven't rambled on too long. This is a very exciting beginning for us. So again, any help is appreciated.
