Hi researchers, "On page 267, Volume I [Major Elkanah Day's Battalion] Muster Roll of the two Companies of Militia in Westminister, Officers and Soldiers who marches in the Alarm, Oct. 17, 1780, by and with me the subscriber, Elkanah Day of said Westminister. Name Elijah DALY Days 2 Miles 30 Per mile 4 Per day 1.4 Total pay 0.12.8 (12 shillings, 8 pence). Received Arlington, Sept. 15, 1781, of the Treasurer, the contents of the within order. Elkanah Day, Major." Note: David DALY was in this same alarm which I emailed earlier.
