Hi,
i'm trying to find information on my ancestor De Chie.
Originally born in France, he apparently was a pirate who
eventually settled in the West Indies - possibly the island of Dominica - around
the 17th Century (i'm not too sure about this).
We have since dropped the 'e' and now carry the surname of De Chi.
If anyone has any information on this or where to look, I shall
be most grateful.
