I've done research on the DAILEY families of Washington and Warren Cos., NY and Seneca Co., NY.
My line of research is Asa DAILEY, son of Samuel DAILEY of Washington Co., NY by 1790 Census. Pardon DAILEY may be Samuel's father. This has been difficult to prove, but there is circumstantial evidence that points that way.
Asa DAILEY went to Seneca Co., NY by 1840. He had several daughters and no sons. Our line is is Asa's daughter Hannah who md. Charles Nelson LEWIS in Wayne Co., NY in
1849.
Asa and his wife had another daughter, Lucy, who md. George DOWNS and went first to CA and then to MI. I have not learned the names of Asa's other two daughters.
There is evidence that the above Pardon DAILEY "may have been" in Rhode Island before going to MA and then NY.
Would love to hear from other descendants of any DAILEY who lived in Washington and the part that later became Warren Co., NY.
