Just got back to work on genealogy. My Frederick W. Dahlmann came to US in 1858. He was born 1829. He settled first in Maine - fought in Civil War - lived in Wisconsin - then Illinois - finally settled in Georgia. Know he was from Prussia. Family story is that he was thrown out of the country. He came here with one son.
