Looking for information and family members of my grandfather, Emil Alfred Dahlin DOB: December 4, 1893 in Kristiansand (formerly Christianssand) Norway. Died: May 20, 1974 in Middleboro, Massachusetts. His father: Olof Dahlin (misspelt Olaf). Emil married my grandmother, Anna M. Benson DOB: abt June 30, 1889 or 1890 from Gothenburg (Goteborg) Sweden. Died May 3, 1938 in Lowell, Massachusetts. Her parents: John and Helena Benson, both from Sweden.
Emil and Anna lived in Vermont, New Hampshire, Worcester, Stoughton, and Wilmington, Ma. Their children: Carl A., Gunvor, Helen, Martha, Anna Marjorie, Dorothy, Norma.
Emil immigrated to America abt. 1910 working for and retiring from the railroad after many years, travelling NY, Conn. and Massachusetts. Anna immigrated abt. 1904.
Emil was 2nd married to Ellen Sophia Lundquist (or Lindquist) Swedish spelt:(qvist) from Sweden DOB: March 17, 1886, Died: January 6, 1966 and lived in Connecticut. 3rd wife: Maria Migryt from Poland, DOB: 1944, Died: February 24, 2008 and lived in Middleboro.
I would like to hear from anyone connected with my family or having any information to share information and learn more about my Swedish/Norwegian roots.
