Former longtime Chehalis(Washington) resident Larry Dale Dahlin, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 13, at Post Falls, Idaho.
Dahlin was born May 14, 1926, at Ford, Wash., to Oscar and Ethelyn (Stearns) Dahlin, and had lived in Chehalis for most of his life.
He moved to Post Falls in July 1999 from Belgrade, Mont., where he had lived since 1992.
Dahlin worked for Union Pacific Railroad as road foreman of engines, retiring in June 1985.
A member of the Masonic Lodge, Centralia, and a past member of the Centralia Eagles, he enjoyed railroading, and loved working with railroad-related items.
Survivors include two sons, Dean of Chehalis and Dale of Post Falls; and four grandchildren.
Two brothers, Herbert and Nat, and a sister, Hallie, preceded him in death.
At the request of the deceased, no services will be held. Arrangements were under the direction of English Funeral Chapel, Inc., Spokane.
