I have some information regarding Oliver's second wife, Clara Engstrom. Clara was the daughter of John and Emily (Bloom) Engstrom. Clara was one of 15 children born to John and Emily. The other children were: Johnny, Albin, Anna, Lillian, Julia, Clarence (Casey), Myrtle, Walter, Olga, William, Helen (who was my mother), Chester, Lloyd, and Delores. Clara and Oliver had four children, Lorraine, Wally, Leroy (Bunt), and Donald. I remember going to Clara and Oliver's home when I was young. Clara loved flowers and had a beautiful flower garden. She had a pet canary named "Bing" and when instructed he would sing for her. Oliver painted a beautiful scenic picture in 1936 which was purchased by my uncle Casey and was given to my parents as a wedding present January 25, 1936. The picture is still in my family. I also have a picture of an ore ship on Lake Superior that was painted by Oliver. I have been searching for more paintings done by him but have not found any.
