Nettie Althea Dahl b.1/5/1913 California d.11/15/1989 Placer County. Father's surname Samuel*, mother's maiden name Gibson. S/S#553-18-2792
*Not finding a Nettie/Althea Samuel on the 1920 census index. Could be that Samuel was actually her father's first name.
You can request a copy of the Social Security application form ($27) and it should list place of birth and parent names.
Your posting sounds like Ronald Dahl is still living so I will only comment that on the California Birth Index his mother's maiden name is listed as Singley.
