Hi:It looks like my husband is probably a distant cousin of yours. His gggg-grandfather was Stockley (Doc) Dagley who had a daughter named Sarah went by Sallie.Sallie married J.A. Turner (Jim) in 1868 in Clay. They had a son named James R. Turner, my husband's great-grandfather he was born in 1877.Sallie died in 1880 so she was not in the census.I'm trying to find out exactly what happened to J.A. Turner and if he remarried, where is he buried etc.It seems like I've lost track of him after 1880.I haven't been able to find out where Sallie is buried or her newborn child, I believe she died in childbirth or shortly after.I have also tried to get a copy of the Dagley book but it's not in publication anymore.I've contacted Larry Dagley. If you know any info on the Turner's please let me know.I don't live to far from the Clay County Archives and that is where I've been doing the majority of my research. It looks as though the Turner's moved around to Ray and Clinton, neighboring counties.
Carol Turner
