Peter. Somehow I missed your answer to my posting and just saw it now. I hope you will get this because I do think it's a good possibility that your Jefferson Loren is our man.
I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is Jefferson L. Daggett. He enlisted 11 Aug 1862 at Bear Creek, Pepin Co., WI into the 23rd WI Infantry. He was taken Prisoner on 3 Nov 1863 at CArrion Crow Bayou, LA and MO on July 4, 1865.
This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
