Seeking info on family origins of James DAFFRON. He was born about 1835 NC (county unknown). He m. abt 1856 to Elizabeth BLACKY (?). Children: Frances (female) b. 1857; Merritt M. b. 1859; Ella b. 1862; Grant b. 1867.

James DAFFRON (also seen as DAFFORD) counted on 1860 census for Chatham Co., NC. Moved to Hamilton Co., IN by 1865. Last record of James per the 1880 census when he was at the Noblesville county poorhouse. His wife, Elizabeth BLACKY buried unmarked grave Spicewood cemetery at Hamilton Co., IN.

Would like to find out about who the parents might be for this couple. Pretty much at a dead-end in recent months. Good to see this forum up and running.
