Hello Diana!

Thank you for the message, and it is good to meet you! :):):)

Part of the reason why i am so curious about my Daffern family roots is because my immediate family (David & Kathy Daffern, myself, and my two brothers, Michael and Ian) moved to Canada when i was very young. I don't know *any* of my cousins, and the only relatives i know are my grandparents, Raymond and Mary Daffern.

I re-read the message my dad posted (it looks as if it was my dad, i will have to grill him on that later). I read it incorrectly the first time -- i think he means to say that *his* grandfather retired in Ledbury, not mine.

So yeah. That was my dad. :)

As for the family tree -- perhaps my grandmother still has it. I shall have to ask her -- my grandfather (Raymond) passed away in 1993.

My grandmother still lives in Budleigh Salterton, Devon. She is actually a Tewksbury, for anybody who is familiar with that family.

Well met, cousin! I thank you for your information! :)
