Hi Nigel,

I am studying a One-name Study for Daffern and variants.

Briefly, Walter Daffern was born 1886 Wolverhampton, married 1906 Wolverhampton. Father Joseph Henry Daffern, born 1853, son of Frederick Daffern and Ann Cashmore who were married 5th June 1843 at Bickenhill, Warks. Joseph Henry married Susannah ? in 1875 at Wolverhampton.

1851 Warwickshire Census.
Packwood, Warks.
Frederick DAFFON, 29, farm servant, born Berkeswell, Warks.

1881 Census.
90 Inkerman Street, Wolverhampton, Staffs.
Joseph Henry Daffern, groom, 26, born Lackwood? (Packwood. Warks.
Susannah Daffern, wife, 29, born Derby.
Joseph E. Daffern, son, 6, born Wolverhampton
John, son, 3, born Wolverhampton.
Chas Cashman? Daffern, son, 1, born ditto.

Packwood.
Frederick Daffern, agricultural labourer, married, 59, born Berkeswell, Warks.
Ann Daffern, wife, 57, born Bickenhill, Warks.
