My gg-grandmother was Elizabeth Dadisman born June 15, 1792 in Nelson County, Ky.
She was the daughter of a Mathias Dadisman. She married Richard Calvert on February 3,
1815.

The Dadismans and Calverts lived in eastern Nelson County near the small community of
Chaplin. The Dadisman family cemetery still exists, however Elizabeth and Richard were
buried in small cemetery near their home. It has been rumored that Elizabeth owned very
expensive jewelry and was buried wearing the jewelry.

The Dadismans, Calverts, Cheathams and several other families of the Chaplin area
frequently inter-married. My gg-aunt, Emily Calvert married John Wesley Cheatham on
Oct. 18, 1847.

I would be very interested in knowing if Elizabeth’s father was a son (or grandson) of
JOHANN JACOB DATISMAN. Also interested in knowing if I have any Dadisman cousins.
