Hello Ian Dade: I read your post, and will tell you that you can find some Dade information in Tannington; the Parish Church has a large white marble memorial on the wall of the Chancel; listing many Dade people of the past.
They are probably your ancestors.
I think my family of Dady in the U.S. are descended from those Dade people; but cannot seem to actually prove it.
I visited in Tannington several years ago, and found that marble memorial; and photographed it, to record the info.

I would be interested to learn if this might be of any help to you in finding your further-back ancestors. I would like to hear from you via e-mail.; if you please. My mother was a Dady, and probably was descended from those Dade people; as there were some Dade families in the U.S. also.

Thank you, Rod Brand
