I'm not completely certain about the number of "Greats" (as in Great Great Great Grandson), but I'm a direct descendent of WAG Dade and Elizabeth Westwood, and therefore of Maj Townshend Dade. They had a son who's typically referred to in the family as the "first Lucian". Elizabeth and her son Lucian moved to Kentucky after WAG's death and some family members still live in Western Kentucky. My father (Lucian Jr) long talked of Dumfries in Virginia.

I have access to quite a bit of family information that may be of use to you in your research. Unfortunately, it's located at my mother's house in Kentucky. I'd be happy to get this info and see what it has in it about Townshend (I've also seen it spelled "Townsend").
Lucian A. Dade III
