Hello Roy Dade: Yes, I have some info about those Dade families in Tannington. I live in West Virginia, USA; but visited in Tannington in 1997. Found where many Dade people are buried in the chancel of the parish church. Have a photo of a huge marble plaque, which lists many Dades. Where are you?.........in England, or the U.S.?
I would like to correspond with you, and learn more, as I feel quite sure my ancestors are connected to those Dades.
They came to Massachusetts in about 1630; but used the spelling as Dady..............we follow down from this William Dady, who I think could have been one of those William Dade men engraved on that plaque. Would you respond via e-mail, please ? My e-address is: <ibrand@zoomnet.net>. I have some info that follows those in England back to 1471, when John Dade (Jean D'ade) came to England from " Ede In Guelderland, Low Countries", which is now known as The Netherlands. This came from a lady, whose ancestors came to Australia long ago, from Suffolk, England. I am VERY MUCH interested in what that book contains. I shall await your response. Thank you,
Rod Brand (my mother was a Dady, from those in Mass.)
