Two cousins just starting out to do some research. Our first objective is to find out our name derivation. My father always told me they changed it from Pappadacus when they came over from Greece. I've since found some information that leads me to think Germany. Without taking too much of your time, can you pass on any comments and/or online resources? Also, I know my particular Dacus family was in Anderson, Indiana around 1910+, then to Alabama, and then finally to Houston in the late 20's/early 30's. Can you point us in a direction? Your help greatly appreciated.
