Hi Mollie. I hope this message reaches you as I see that your post is over 4 years old! You may have already found out this information but... Rebecca Ann Starnes and Alexander Dacus' daughter Lavina was my gg grandmother. Lavina's daughter Effie married Robert Laxton. Lavina and Robert's daughter Agnes was my grandmother. Rebecca and Alexander were married August 18, 1850. Lavina was born in 1851 or 1852. I havent been able to confirm which year. Alexander died in 1854. I have a copy of his will which leaves his entire estate to Rebecca and Lavina. He states that he gave his older children their share when they each got married. Rebecca then married F.M. Knight in 1860. I know very little about him but assume that he died before 1870 because on the 1870 census Rebecca is living with Lavina and her husband Peter Wilson in Murphysboro, Illinois. They all later moved back to TN where they are found on the 1880 census in Tipton County. Rebecca lived with Margaret Cates and her husband. She's listed as Mr. Cates' mother-in-law so I assume Margaret was her daughter with F.M. Knight. I haven't been able to confirm when Rebecca died but I've not been able to find her on the 1900 census so she probably died between 1880 and 1900. I know very little about Rebecca's family other than her father was Moses Starnes. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
