Hi Judith,
I recently found this on the 1870 Greene County, Salem Twp, Arkansas census.

Household 57/57 was Jane Jones, age 45 and a widow. Her 3 children were N.C, age 10, M.A, age 14 and Hugh T. age 6, all 3 kids were born in Ark and Jane says unk.

In the same household was R.M. Lamb, his wife C.E. Lamb, both are 20 and each born in Alabama, they have 2 small girls at that time, M.E age 2 and S.A age 8 months (both born in Ark) I am resonably sure this is Robert Marshall Lamb and his wife Clarinda Elizabeth (Dacus) Lamb.

I am interested in the Jones family, Hugh Thomas Jones born 1863 is my gr grandfather and his sister was Nancy Chalmer Jones. Hugh married Mary Jane Parks, Nancy married James Creel (they all married in Boone county)

Interesing enough, Mary Jane Parks had a sister named Aleline (Addie) who married a Charley Lamb and Nancy Jones Creel had a daughter who married a Fred Dacus!

Do you have any idea of the Jones connection?

Thanks in advance,
Donna Jones Stapp
