Archibald"Archie" Dacus(1769 Va-1832SC) was 1st married to Susannah Church--these is the parents of Arthur "Arter" Dacus(1816-1868)
***Archibald 2nd wife was a Anna Arkansas Cleveland--notes I have" Desc. of Archibald Dacus" says he and Anna have a child Thomas Anthony Dacus born 1824. This Thomas Anthony is not to be confused with the son of Arter and Lizzie Cogburn Dacus who was born 1860.
Arthur "Arter" Dacus born 1816 in Pickens Co SC married 1st to an Ida Chapman(1820-1850) They call THIS Ida "Big Ida" He and Ida had the following children:
Pascal "Hawkins 1838-1965
John William "Tom" 1842-1862
(note: both these bothers died in Civil War)
James Arthur "Jim" 1845-1915
William "Riley" 1845-1906
(Note these two brothrs are twins
Arter THEN married Elizabet"Lizzie" Cogburn(1829-1868)
they had:
George "Henry" (18??-1868)
Harriett (dates later)
Robert "Bob" (1858-1941)
**Buried in antioch Cem Grice Tx Upshur Co.
Thomas Anthony(1860-1939) (MY gg grandfather)
** also born in Grice
Elbert (1863-1928)
Beadie(1852-1918)
Thos Anthony Dacus married Magararet Matilda Chapman(Lil Ida)I am figuring this Ida may have been cousin or aunt of Anthony's older half brothers.
I have LOTS of notes on this family--Not all have I worked thru completely--
