Hello - It is interesting how different branches find different things. I would be most interested in the information that you say "confirms" Peggy the mother of Arter's first 4 sons. There has been a debate for many years about Ida Chapman (Big Ida) vs Peggy Tatum being the mother of these children. I know there is a marriage record of on Arthur DACUS to Peggy TATUM in 1838 Forsyth Co, GA. I have wondered if he could have been married three times and if Peggy could be the mother of his first born son, Paschal.

I do know that neither James nor Wm Riley named a daughter "Ida", but Riley did have a daughter named Margaret (Maggie). Peggy is a nickname for Margaret. So the naming order is of no help to me.

I am a descendant of Arter & his second wife, Elizabeth COGBURN. Archie N. DACUS is my great, great grandfather.

I would appreciate any "proof" you have that would clear this up, as you are the first researcher I have found that states it so matter-of-fact.

Thanks,

BT
