Hi! I am from the line of James A. Dacus, one of the twins. Would you care to pass on the source of your information on Ida Chapman? I too located the marriage record of Peggy Tatum and Arthur Dacus in Forsyth Co., Ga which is where James was born. Also, have you been to Arthur and Elizabeth's graves? For some reason I have them listed as dying in Forsyth Co., Ga. I am very inexperienced at all of this and could have easily made a mistake, but I am certain that an Arthur Dacus married Peggy Tatum in 1838 in Forsyth Co.

Just for fun info. our family legend has it that although James fought in the Civil War with his original three brothers, he deserted due to being a Union sympathizer. Supposedly this caused a huge scandle in the family, as you can imagine at that time and place. I do know that his twin followed him to Tn and they are each buried next to their wives here in McMinn Co., at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

The boys served with the 38th Regiment Volunteer Infantry Company - L.

I'll gladly share any information I have with anyone that is interested. Thank you for your time.

Laura Sullivan
