While trying to find my roots, I came across GenForum and immediately felt I had hit paydirt. I am the great-great-great-great granddaughter of John and Mara Atkins Dacus of Lunenburg, Va. of the early 1700's. Their son, Archibald, later settled in Dacusville, S.C. Descendants later settled in Grice, Upshur Co. Tx. My grandfather was one of these settlers. I am excited about any information you can give me on my ancestry. Wish I had known about the reunion, unfortunately my search for family ties is just beginning. Sue Cox
