Please be advised that Arter DACUS' 1st wife was Ida CHAPMAN (abt 1820-1849) .. she was the mother of his 1st 4 children: Paschal DACUS (1838-died in Civil War), John Wm DACUS ( 1842-died in Civil War), James Anthony DACUS b 1844 (twin) Wm Riley DACUS b 1844(twin) .. Arter's 2nd marriage was to Elizabeth COGBURN (1829-1868) they had Archibald (Archie)(my gr,gr grandfather) 1878-1954), George Henry, Harriett, Robert (Bob), Thomas "Anthony" who married Margaret M "Ida" CHAPMAN (1861-1938) together they had 10 children .. Arter & Ida also had Elbert and Beadie .. I have photo's of my Archie, George Henry, Robert "Bob", Thomas "Anthony", Elbert, James "Jim" and Wm Riley if you are interested .. thanks you may contact me at Turnipscan@aol.com
