I am from England and my father has traced our family history back to 1790. I don't have any info with me to give you but I will get some. I have mentioned these names to him (Herman, dennis, Michael, Dan) but he does not recall this. We will probably have to go back i/2 more generations. Interesting to see the connection between the USA/Britain though.
I come from an area of England where there are a concentrate of Dace's and it not a common name in GB at all, so it would be likely that these immigrants came from the same family as my own, which is fascinating.

The earliets name my father has uncovered is Henry Dace, born 1795. If it helps, I come from quite a small place uin the UK called Walsall, and many of my relatives are from Cheslyn Hay and Great Wyrley, Staffordshire.

Hope this strikes some interest.
Please feel free to drop me a line
