George, you are right about Buford and Nathan (Nathaniel) being brothers. The only thing I have about Nathan is info from Buford's son Jerome. It comes from his application for Confederate Pension and states that they came to Texas in the summer of 1854 from Missouri. However, this Nathan married Kessiah Ellis and was on the 1870 Denton County, Tx census naming children William - 18, Manerva - 16, Andrew Jackson - 10. All these children were born in Mo. Also, I have seen it written somewhere that this Nathan, Jr. was a Wagonmaster. Don't know if this will help you, but would be glad to discuss it further via e-mail. If you would like to do that, please post your e-mail address.
