Rick, are you aware that there were several Cornelius Dabneys in Virginia? I have run across the name Mary Shrewsbury before but didn't remember that she married a Cornelius. The information that I have is that there was Cornelius Dabney(Dabony)the first in Va. in the 1600's. With his second wife, Susannah, was born Cornelius the 2nd who married Sara Jennings. There were several other children, some of whom I'm certain named later children 'Cornelius'. My GG grandfather Buford Dabney was born in Bedford Co, Va on 21 Aug 1799. As stated in my earlier posting, Nathan and Jenny and their children went to Wayne Co. Ky about 1808. I think some cousins and their families also went about that time.
